A context of the first season is the "bike messengers" in New York City. They are one of the most 'common encounters' on the streets, in offices, elevators and even roads you would barely walk in. They are a part of unseen infrastructure of the city that support  as a hardware of  'network services.' The basic intention is to 'dress-up' the messengers in juxtaposition with the late 1800's sartorial tastes. Instead of mere designing, functionality and proportion are considered to materialize the ideas with understanding the context. The whole intention is to make products that are approachable designs and yet have reference stories to think about.

D.UE.T

for

"Dear Un-Educated Tomorrow"

"Dear Un-Educated Tomorrow" started since 2008 as an idea
of finding unexpected and creative value. Instead of creating something from the
blank page, it will be more interesting and provocative to create something from
'familiar' subjects and to make it 'unfamiliar' or to create new 'breeds'.

The basic promise of the brand is to work with "CONTEXT(S)" which will
make a juxtaposition with, somewhat familiar, subjects. The familiar subjects
are CONSTANT component, and the 'context(s)' are variables which will be
applied to the constant component. Such a component is driven
from the American sensibilities (late 1800's classic to the Preppy aesthetics)

CONSTANT + CONTEXT = NEW BREED

And the "contexts" could be brought from everyday encounters or mundane subjects.
Finding contexts from 'cliche' is to make things interesting and  leave something to think
about. Instead of merely borrowing or revisiting historical references, this design process
will re-interpret familiar conventions and will re-materialize them.
